How to Play Blackjack

This is the most popular game in the Casino.

The aim of the game is to beat the dealer.

That can be done by forming a hand which is closer to – 21 than the dealer's hand.

You can beat the dealer's hand even it is above 21.

You must be careful because if the value of your hand is above 21 – you are going to lose automatically.

This version of Blackjack is played with 8 decks of cards mixed by the dealers at fixed times.

After the game is loaded, you must choose a seat at the table.

The seats are numbered from 1 to 7.

The seating at the table is enabled by pressing on any of the vacant seats – seats with the title on them – sit here

In order to place a bet you must press on the desired game token from the bank and after that click on your position at the table.

Pay attention to ensure that your bet conforms to the minimum and maximum requirements of the table.

Very important – In order for your bet to be accepted you must press the Approve button (in the bank's window) before the time clock runs out otherwise your gamble will not go through.

If the round has already started, you will have to wait until it finishes before you can participate in the game.

At the opening of the game each player receives two cards facing up (exposed).
The dealer also gets two cards, but one of those cards will be face down (the "hole card").

Card values

Cards 2 through 10 are worth their face value, and face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are all worth 10.

An ace's value is 1 or 11 depending on which value will give the player a better hand.

If the sum of the first two cards dealt to you is 21 (an ace and a 10), you have a Blackjack.

A win with a Blackjack awards a winning of a ratio of 3 to 2 over the original sum bet.

Other winnings award in a ratio of 1 to 1.

Each player's gets his turn in a clockwise fashion.

When it is your turn the following possibilities will be presented to you:

Stand
Take no more cards, don't take any additional action with the current hand.
Hit
Take another card, with the aim of improving hand value. You can use this possibility a number of times.
Double down
Increase the bet to a maximum of double the original bet and take exactly one more card.
Split

Double the bet and (get two cards) have each card be the first card in a new hand (you end up playing two hands).

This option is available only when both cards have the same rank or, depending on the locality, value.

You may only take one card at each hand, otherwise pay attention, because in the case of splitting aces, you will be able to continue drawing additional cards.

A score of 21 which arises from a split will not be considered as Blackjack, because these are not the first two cards which were dealt.
The winning will be paid only in a 1 to 1 ratio. Hands can not be split more than once.

After all the players have responded, the dealer will flip his "hole card" (the card facing down).

If the value of the hand is lower than 16, the dealer will have to draw one more card.

The dealer will continue drawing cards until the hand reaches a value of 17 or more.

When the dealer's hand value is of 17 or 21, the dealer will pay each one of the players whose hand is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand.

If a player's hand has the same value as the dealer's hand, the hand is called a tie and the player will get his bet back.

If the value of the dealer's hand is over 21, all the players who remain at the table will win.

Insurance

If the dealer's up card is an Ace, the players are offered the option of taking Insurance before the dealer checks his 'hole card'.

The player who wishes to take Insurance can bet an amount up to half his original bet.

The Insurance bet is placed separately on a special portion of the table, which usually carries the words "Insurance Pays 2:1".

The player who is taking Insurance is betting that the dealer was dealt a "natural", i.e. a two-card 21 (a Blackjack), and this bet by the player pays off 2:1 if it wins. It is called insurance because it, in effect, can protect the original bet if the dealer has a Blackjack.

If you bet the full half of the original bet, you win the same amount of the player's Blackjack wager.

In this case, if insurance is taken and the player doesn't have Blackjack but dealer does, no money is lost.

Of course the dealer can end up not having Blackjack and the player can still win or lose the Blackjack bet, and the insurance bet is forfeit.
